316 stainless steel drop in anchors are internally threaded expansion anchors use for medium duty fixing in concrete. To install a drop in anchor, a hole must be drilled the same diameter as the anchor, the anchor is then inserted into the hole and struck with a hammer and anchor setting tool until top of the fastener is flush with the concrete. This will cause the anchors shield to expand into the sidewall of the hole, a bolt or threaded rod is then inserted into the anchor providing a high-quality fixing. Stainless steel drop in anchors are commonly used for anchoring in costal and corrosive regions or to achieve an architectural finish with a stainless steel bolt.
